SCS "Family Fellowship"
Parents! Get Involved and Meet Other Salem Christian Parents Through
SCS Family Fellowship (FF)!
Family Fellowship (FF), led by Salem parents Heather Perkins and Brian Poindexter, is dedicated to building up the heart of our Defender family. This group exists not only to support school activities and volunteer efforts, but to intentionally bring our families together in community to celebrate, to serve, and to grow in faith alongside one another. We are driven by one simple, but powerful mission:
“To build meaningful connections, share relatable experiences, and support our faculty and staff through collaborative service—all for the glory of God. We believe that many hands make light work, and through small groups and committees, we aim to foster a culture of encouragement, generosity, and Christ-centered community.”
The Family Fellowship meets once a month (typically the first or second Tuesday) and welcomes all parents who desire to get involved, meet other families, and make a lasting impact on our school community. Whether helping with events, offering hospitality, or supporting faculty and staff, every contribution, large or small, matters deeply.
Current Opportunities to Get Involved!
The Upper School Parent Partner Initiative (Ongoing).
The purpose of this new initiative has been to partner Salem Christian parents with upper school teachers for support. From prayers and encouragement to specific classroom needs and events, the opportunities are endless in how you can support these teachers. Thus far, it has been a resounding success. If you're interested, there's still an opportunity to get involved. Please reach out to Brenda Grabowski at brendagrabowskinc@yahoo.com.
